What we store
Only what the game needs to work:
- Your email address — this is how you sign in. There's no password.
- A display name and handle, if you set them. These appear on the public leaderboard, so treat them as public.
- Your game history — which puzzles you played, how deep you went, whether you banked or busted.
- Your coins, items and streak, plus a ledger of every coin transaction so we can answer you if a balance ever looks wrong.
- Your timezone, so your streak and your reminder agree on when midnight is.
- A push subscription, only if you turn reminders on.
What we don't
No location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone, no analytics profile built from your behaviour across other apps. We don't sell anything to anyone, and there is no data broker in this app.
Ads
Free players see ads from Google AdMob. If you're on iOS, we ask permission before anything can use your advertising identifier — say no and ads still work, they're just less targeted. Nothing in the app changes either way.
Members see no ads at all, and the ad SDK isn't even initialised for them.
Google's handling of ad data is covered by their own policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Payments go through Apple or Google. We never see your card. RevenueCat processes the receipt and tells us one thing: whether your membership is active. Coin packs are credited from that same signal.
Who else touches your data
- Supabase — database and sign-in.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Google AdMob — ads, free players only.
- RevenueCat, with Apple and Google — purchases.
Puzzles are written ahead of time by an AI model and stored in our database. Nothing you do in the app is ever sent to an AI model — the puzzle is already written before you open it.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete account. It's immediate and it's total: your history, coins, items, streak and ledger all go, and none of it can be recovered.
One thing it does not do is cancel a membership — Apple and Google own that, and only you can cancel it from your store account. Do that first, or you'll keep being billed for an account that no longer exists.
Children
GeoNerve isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly keep data from them. If you think a child has made an account, email us and we'll remove it.
